Correction

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A CanWest News story that appeared on page A1 of Thursday's paper included incorrect information regarding the Firearms Act, which was passed 1998. The story should have said that registered owners of prohibited firearms are allowed to keep them under grandfathering provisions, provided they owned the weapons prior to 1995. They can transfer or sell the weapons, but only to other gun owners who have registered firearms of the same type and kept them through the same grandfathering provisions.

BREITKREUZ COMMENT: PROVING ONCE AGAIN THAT EVEN THE LIBERALS BELIEVE THAT PROHIBITED FIREARMS ARE NO THREAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY AT ALL WHEN LEFT IN THE HANDS OF A LAW-ABIDING PERSON.
